Founder's Forum

Looking to start a charter school?  Do you have questions in regard to the process of developing a quality school?  Attend one of MAPSA's FREE Founder's Forums to gain insight and increase your capacity on your development process, project team and grant initiatives.  Starting a charter school can be overwhelming with the many details involved and MAPSA can provide insight with their extensive experience in working with hundreds of development teams. 

The Founder's Forums are located at MAPSA's Lansing office.  These meetings are designed to be question driven and are a small group setting.  There is a limit to 3-5 groups in attendance at each session. Upcoming meetings will be held on:

Wednesday May 9 from 3:00-4:00 pm

Thursday May 31 from 3:00-4:00 pm

Wednesday June 13 from 3:00-4:00 pm

MAPSA offers a series of trainings available to those who are in the process of starting a school.  The Charter Start Trainings will provide you with the knowledge for your nonprofit board and development team members.

The National Charter School Resource Center

The National Charter School Resource Center (Charter School Center) serves as a national center to provide on-demand resources, information, and technical assistance to support successful planning, authorizing, implementation, and sustainability of high-quality charter schools; to share evaluations on the effects of charter schools; and to disseminate information about successful practices in charter schools.
