This year’s conference allows you to choose from over 125+ breakout sessions, organized into 12 tracks (attend any session or track that meets your need). Be sure to maximize

the school year! We will be offering a series of webinars, information
our website, and other continuing resources for you to gain the most
complete and up-to-date trainings. Here is a glimpse of what’s to come:
Board members - fantastic fundraising for schools, handling budgets and money issues in the day-to-day.
Administrative leadership - technology-based staff development, understanding adult development on your team, recruitment and retention of a high-quality staff, positive teacher supervision experiences and budget and money issues.
General education - bullying/harassment prevention, dealing with angry parents, hands-on minds-on science, unconventional approach to ELL with art, reading and response to intervention (RTI) and everyday geometry.
21st Century Education - 21st century skills for students including critical thinking, resiliency and global assessments and improving literacy instruction and achievement with technology.
Elementary teachers - new literature for children, GLCEs for writing, web-based production tools, ESL & technology, solids & gases, the Book Whisperer and poetry, puppetry, music and more!
Middle school teachers - GLCEs and science, Talk Early, Talk Often program, differentiating literature, powerful questions for effective math results and reading in the science classroom.
High school teachers - MME, science and GLCEs, differentiated instruction for the alternative classroom, academic and intercultural benefits of debate, and using technology to improve parent involvement.
Special education teachers - servicing children with disabilities, CIMS II and “hot topics” of special education.
Specialist teachers - trauma’s cognitive impact on children, P.E. and developing athletic programs at your school.
Fine arts teachers - dance in the classroom and a look at Opening Minds Through the Arts program.
Parents (Tuesday only) - raising resilient children, brain compatible learning in kids and the impact of family meals on academics.
Para-professionals and support staff - helping adolescents in grief, handling children with oppositional behavior and legal support for the front office.
