Meg Hackett, Attorney, Thrun Law Firm, P.C.
Margaret (Meg) Hackett practiced law for 25 years before joining the Thrun Law Firm in 2007. Ms. Hackett’s practice focuses on general school law, public school academies, college and university law, special education law, and appellate practice.

Matthew F. Hiser, Attorney, Thrun Law Firm P.C.
Mr. Hiser focuses his practice on the areas of municipal finance law, securities law and elections law. He has worked in the municipal finance industry since 1991, both as a bond attorney and as an investment banker.

Brian Lefler, Director, Robert W. Baird & Co., Inc.
Mr. Lefler has been a public finance banker for twenty-six years. Mr. Lefler has extensive experience working with public school academies to meet their short-term (State Aid Notes) and long-term facility financing needs.  Mr. Lefler has served as the lead investment banker to the Michigan Finance Authority’s Revenue Note Program for nine years and is a member of the Firm’s National Charter School Finance team. 

Alicia Urbain, VP of Government and Legal Affairs, MAPSA
Alicia joined MAPSA in 2011 as the Vice President of Government & Legal Affairs. Prior to coming to MAPSA, Alicia worked for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Michigan (Oakland County), as legal counsel for the Michigan House Republican Policy Office, Governor Engler’s Legal Division, the Michigan Senate Majority Counsel’s office, and the office of United States Senator Spencer Abraham.
